Protect Card | Restore Card - How to Delete Windows Boot Small Partition

Special Note: Starting from Windows 7, when installing from the system disk, a small partition of 100MB will be automatically created. Currently, our Enhanced Protection Card/Blue Core Antivirus Card can only retain one partition during the reserved installation, which causes the reserved installation to be unusable. The following will describe how to delete the small partition that comes with the system.

Special Note: Starting from Windows 7, when installing with the system disk, a 100MB small partition will be automatically planned. Currently, our enhancement card/blue core antivirus card can only retain one partition during the reserved installation, which causes the reserved installation to be unusable. The following will describe how to delete the small partition that comes with the system.

1. Scope of this document:

Hardware Version: All versions
Software Version: All versions

2. Operation Steps

1. Check the partition status and confirm that there is a small partition in front of the system (right-click on "Computer", select "Manage", then select "Disk Management"), as shown in the figure below:

2. Find the CMD command window program and select "Run as administrator" (Note: This step is very critical; otherwise, due to permission issues, the operation will fail).

Prepare to execute the command: bcdboot c:\windows /s c: (This command is used to move the Windows boot files to the root directory of the system disk.)

According to the instructions in the above figure, set the system disk of the operating system to "Mark partition as active".

***: Some colleagues may ask how to merge this 100MB small partition into the system partition. Our department has tried general partition tools to merge, but it did not work. Later, we tried using DiskGenius in Windows PE to modify the starting sector position of the C drive, save and restart; then boot the Windows installation disk and use the bootrec tool to repair (specific command bootrec /RebuildBcd), which can be achieved. (Due to the complexity of this operation, it is not recommended; just waste a little disk space.)
